Science communication is reporting on science and technology effectively and informing scientific progress made in the country and achievements made etc. Science is making rapid strides in India under PM Modi as new innovations are introduced every day. Indira Gandhi presented human face to science as she empowered working class people in many institutions to provide good well-paying jobs.
Science communication is growing as India has developed technology and many new infrastructures are being created. India is becoming a developed country according to PM Modi and he has that vision. India has tie up with America and west on technology science and in many areas under him.
Science is transforming the world and has brought many comforts to people everywhere. Space launches help weather forecasting TV production and broadcasts and others. MK Stalin former CM of Tamil Nadu introduced electric buses in Chennai to cut costs and help better transportation. He introduced metros in several parts of Chennai making the city a worldclass one in many ways. PM Modis move to collaborate with advanced countries of the world help India to become a developed one in many ways. During Indira Nehru Rajiv Gandhi rules Indians went to US and UK and to West and settled there. The virginity test in UK came up during Indira Gandhi regime in UK she took strong exception to it although she maintained cordial relations with UK PM Margaret Thatcher. Science is thus benefitting India in many ways and the world in several methods.
Science communication was undertaken during Indira Gandhi period as SITE experiment was conducted with US NASA. ATS -6 Satellite was used and 4 hours of TV program was launched from 1975 to 76 and 2 and half years of educational TV programs and one and half hours of entertainment was launched This TV programs showed science can help TV broadcasting better in the nation and US helped us with it.
Development in science and technology is more in America and west and Russia is advance in space technology PM Modi is modernizing India with US and Wst now a days and it is beneficial to all in India including poor and all castes. Technology and science should not give way for bad modernism as countries like Russia is right on this score.
Science communication is growing as science publications have become more now. Science Today was a publication listing science achievements and it was stopped some time ago. The Hindu used to bring Science and technology pages during Indira Gandhi time but it is not sure it carries now. Science achievements are told in other periodical and in the US Christian Science Monitor use to bring out science achievements and developments generally. Russia may have several such in their language but not known much. Chinese language publications on science are also available in many numbers.
India’s achievement in science and technology without harming anyone or any good thing under PM Modi should be highlighted to the world. Both the super powers of USA and Russia are ideology oriented and seldom share any mutual interest in development and science as wars are going on now Science is to benefit mankind and do good but darkness of science is very much there. The world is infested with wars nuclear weapons and diseases but there seem to be one way is given to people in ideology oriented societies. Science communication is important in showing despite all drawbacks negative things there is one way to lead one’s life in today’s world. Science communication assumes paramount importance in a conflict-ridden society of ours and will do good to all in coming days.
