Mass media scenario has been changing since 40 years as world has witnessed drastic changes. Today PM Modis governance is different from that of 1980s Gandhis s situation has changed New media have come about and the way we do business has changed as technology plays leading role Corona or Covid 19 have affected people and we have big war of Russia Ukraine one Old people have gone and new people have come about play leading roles and women have assumed power and work in large number Developments have been happening and more machines are doing more work than man All these have altered news flow between nations
Communication flow in the past
Communication has been flowing from north to south and there was imbalance in the flow for south north led by developed countries have been dominating the news flow they have cinema seats more newspapers per 1000 of population and such infrastructure North is glorified opposed to south and there has been cultural domination taking place in overall. The Hollywood cinema dominate third world and US UK tv programs have been dominating the world for several decades Mrs Indira Gandhi once said we know of small poets of Europe and America, and even big ones of Asia Africa are not known
Thus, there is cultural imperialism of some kind and the west led by the US and UK dominate. Third world critics led by Mustapha masmoudi criticize the news flow and argue for New World Information Order.

New World Information and Communication Order
This debate came in during 1970s and 80s as the Third world wanted NWIO because the present imbalance is in favor of developed nations the debate came in UN and a committee was constituted under Sean McBride former Irish foreign minister He submitted report saying there is imbalance and suggested no clear cut remedies according to LSU professor Dr Whitney R Mundt The information order is to be changed according to third world countries led by Tunisian foreign minister Mustapha R Masmoudi Nothing came off much and the US and UK pulled out of UNESCO
Where is the debate now
This debate is not talked of now much except in world forums as G 20 and in the UN & UNESCO. This has become debate of the past and nations seemed to talk of economic order more. The Berlin wall has been broken, and communism has gone in most East European nations and Russia still exists and strong opponent to American policies now and India doesn’t talk of Non-aligned much now although in Ukraine war India is neutral. The debate has become thing of the past now and much is not known In American university circles this is being talked of and it has become an academic subject much In India also university and colleges this is being talked off, and it has become an academic subject now

Technology has emerged in a bid way as 40% of work force in developed world are in new media related occupations. Technology makes lives easier it is claimed but in countries as India middle class and upper castes lack proper training in technology because of different governance as they are left out of mainstream Technology is benefitting others in a big way and tremendous impact can be found of technology thanks to PM Modi rule Technology emerged in America during President Joe Biden rule and many conferences were held with other developed nations Russia also lacks technology and China with its modernization move has some India is far ahead in technology because of recent rule and is appreciated by world leaders including that of US The technology is found in Indias private sector more and these compete and collaborate with their US counterparts well A comprehensive non-destructive technology policy is needed by the US and India in days to come Russia needs to give up its war in Ukraine and achieve its good intentions in peaceful means otherwise.
