SABERA Awards recognizing Good – Entries Now Open

The first edition of the Social And Business Enterprise Responsible Awards (SABERA), will take place later this year in NCR/Delhi at the SABERA Awards & Summit 2018. Conceptualised by the Simply Suparnaa Media Network the awards recognise good and aim to amplify the voices of all those contributing to making our world a better place. The summit will serve as a platform of exchange of ideas, possibilities and experiences with stalwarts across sector and allow the like-minded to engage, network and enhance their chosen scope.

Breaking news in India has the tendency to make your heart plummet with an ‘OMG’ (Oh My God) rather than soar with an OMG! Yet, there is much that India, its people and organisations, are doing to impact good – individuals, societies, brands, PSU’s, corporates, the development sector; that must be lauded and put forth in the public forum for enterprise as well as inspirational fodder as our nation stands and goes forth as amongst the most progressive in the world.

Through SABERA the aim is to highlight CSR initiatives, Responsible Businesses, Non-Governmental initiatives, Social Enterprises and Not-for-Profit initiatives that make India a responsible nation. The organisation can be Indian or Global but must have done some work in India.

The awards are a robust two-tier process where entries are invited for online submission from a cross section of corporates, not-for-profits and individual as well as organisations enabling this good on the basis of predefined categories.

These entries will be evaluated by an esteemed panel of jury who will first judge individually, then through a physical jury meet slated for mid-November. Each entry will be evaluated by at least three jury members on the preset criteria. The top scoring shortlist from this will be presented through the physical jury meet where the shortlisted entries will be invited to present their case. The final awardees will be acknowledged at the gala event.

The esteemed jury includes veterans who have created impact:

  • Sanjeev Bikhchandani, Chairman Infoedge (CHAIR)
  • Tapas Sen, COO Radio Mirchi
  • Siddharth Banerjee, EVP Marketing, Vodafone
  • Shabnam Siddiqui, Country Director, UN Global Compact
  • Rishi Suri, Director, School of Policy and Governance
