When Learning, Purpose and Reputation came together in Kochi

POSTED BY: Vijay Shekhar 01 October 2026

PR and communication professionals from across India and a quite a few from other countries too came together for two days of networking and conversations exploring the evolving role of reputation, influence and storytelling in an increasingly AI-driven world at the 13th edition of PRAXIS (themed ‘Public Relations as a force for good’) on September 25 & 26, 2026 in Kochi. The summit brought together conversations on the evolving role of communication, journalism and public relations in shaping a more informed, responsible and purpose-driven society.

The city and its vibe

Kochi is no longer the sleepy coastal town in Kerala, having transformed into a bustling, fast-developing city while still preserving its quiet and historic pockets. Older generations would remember Kochi as a quiet royal capital and spice-trading port where life moved slowly with the tides. Today the city pulses with modern infrastructure, tech parks and massive commercial hubs. Yet there are quite a few places where that ‘sleepy town’ vibe still lives. Fort Kochi for example is a historic neighbourhood with narrow streets and art cafes. It’s a place that still slows down after sunset with shops closing early by 8:00 pm. Compared to mega-cities like Bombay, Delhi or Bangalore, arriving in Kochi feels much calmer and less overwhelming for travellers. Also quieter areas like Vypin Island and the surrounding backwaters offer a peaceful escape from the urban rush.

With this heritage and culture, Kochi played the perfect backdrop for PRAXIS 2026.

Where luxury meets breathtaking views

Grand Hyatt Bolgatty is a stunning luxury retreat that brings together contemporary elegance, warm hospitality and the natural beauty of Kerala. Set on the picturesque Bolgatty Island in Kochi, the property offers an enchanting escape surrounded by serene backwaters, lush greenery and expansive views that instantly create a sense of calm.

The resort’s beautiful setting is one of its greatest attractions. From tranquil waters and swaying palms to spectacular sunsets, every corner offers a visual treat and a refreshing connection with nature. Its thoughtfully designed spaces blend modern luxury with the character and charm of Kerala, creating an atmosphere that feels both sophisticated and relaxing.

There couldn’t have been a better and a more relaxed venue for PRAXIS 2026 than Grand Hyatt Bolgatty. With its exceptional setting, elegant ambience and breathtaking vistas, it proved to be more than just a luxury hotel…it was a venue that captured the beauty and spirit of God’s own country.

PRAXIS 2026 – Day II

The summit further explored how organisations can convert capacity into competitive advantage, build trust in an era of unprecedented influence, and create goodwill at the intersection of algorithms, business and society. Speakers also examined the growing impact of geopolitics on corporate reputation and the need for communicators to prepare for an increasingly complex global environment.

A special session highlighted the role of partnerships in creating lasting change, reinforcing the importance of collaboration in delivering meaningful impact.
