This year, I won a couple of very valuable entrepreneurship awards and I started thinking how crucial recognition and appreciation is in the journey of our careers. While gaining experience in different organisations, dealing with challenging bosses and clients, the small moments of appreciation helped us grow and not turn resentful. Appreciation is a powerful tool that can have a profound impact in the world of public relations and help changemakers take big steps forward in 2023.

In a fast-paced and competitive environment, it’s easy to overlook the people who make things happen, but taking a moment to show appreciation and recognise their efforts can have a significant impact on an organisation’s reputation, employee morale, and overall success.

In public relations, building positive relationships with stakeholders is essential. Here are a few ways in which appreciation can make a difference.
