The first edition of the Social And Business Enterprise Responsible Awards (SABERA) will take place this December in Delhi-NCR at the SABERA Awards & Summit 2018. Conceptualised by the Simply Suparnaa Media Network, SABERA, aims is to highlight CSR initiatives, Responsible Businesses, Social Enterprises, Non-Governmental Initiatives and Not-for-Profit Initiatives that make India a responsible nation.
SABERA has a global knowledge partner with MSCI – an independent provider of research insights and tools for institutional investors. MSCI’s ESG Research provides ratings of the environmental, social and governance-related business practices of thousands of companies worldwide. In India, SABERA will be releasing a jury-based ranking through the awards for responsible businesses.
Speaking on the association, Chandru Badrinarayan, Executive Director & Country Manager, South Asia, MSCI, said, “MSCI is pleased to be the knowledge partner of SABERA’s inaugural responsible business awards. We regularly support initiatives to raise the awareness of the benefits of responsible investing across the globe and feel that SABERA awards are a positive step to encourage and recognise socially-responsible corporations in India.”
Talking about the motivation behind the awards, Suparnaa Chadda, Founder, Simply Suparnaa Media Network, explained, “We have a large number of individuals and organisations doing brilliant work albeit silently across the nation. While a lot of negative finds media attention, it is time we amplify the voices of those doing good and help build a positive narrative for the country.”
Both Indian and Global organisations are eligible for the award however some work must be done in India between 1 April 2017 to 31 March 2018.
