A sneak peek into PRAXIS 2019

PRAXIS is little over a month away and the summit seems to be shaping well. A summit is only as good as four things. The participants are key. This is followed by the right set of speakers who create the content and the presence of generous partners whose support goes a long way in bringing the idea alive. And then the arrangements by the organisers for the days of the summit.

Here is a brief overview of the speakers and partners. This year we build on bringing over a dozen global leaders as speakers at the eighth edition of PRAXIS. Our opening keynote is by the COO of Edelman Public Relations (the world’s largest PR firm), Matt Harrington. We have two other global CEOs who will speak on Day 2 – Melissa Waggner Zorkin of WE Communications and Barri Rafferty of Ketchum. Actor, activist and author Lisa Ray will open Day 2 with a talk on Trust for Goodness, supported by Adani Group. We also have Shiv Shivkumar of the Aditya Birla Group and Johna Burke of the Association of Measurement and Evaluation Companies delivering keynotes. We have Indian origin global corporate communications head of Coursera, Arunav Sinha as a keynote speaker as well. Two regional consultancy leaders Elan Shou of Ruder Finn and Lee Nugent of Archetype will join the customary Asia panel with Arun Sudhaman

In addition to these we have Peter Debreceny of the Page Society and Greg Galant of Muckrack who will deliver a special address each. The opening speakers will be three young women who are leaders in their own right. This session is presented by Aditya Birla Group. It will be wonderful to listen to Afreen Akhtar, Aditi Prasad and Shanaz Khan who made a mark at TedX Gateway in previous editions. We also have social entrepreneur Anand Shankar sharing his story at the MSL Super Night. PRAXIS will commence with three masterclasses by leadership coach Aparna Jain, communication professional Patrice Tanaka and psychiatrist Dr Samir Parikh. The opening night concert is by renowned band The Local Train.

Mahesh Jayaram of Dell, Subhayu Mishra of Standard Chartered, Deepshikha Dharmaraj of Genesis BCW, Lucy Harvey of H+K Strategies, Paresh Chaudhry of Adani are some of the session chairs for the various keynotes.

Adfactors Public Relations comes on board as the Presenting Partner.

MSL India, Value 360, AvianWE and Edelman are Platinum partners.

Corporates – Viacom 18, Godrej, Google, Standard Chartered and Alpha Inventa are Gold partners.

Impact Research and Measurement, Meltwater and PR firms – SPAG, PR Pundit, Candour, Fuzion, Kaizzen, Ruderfinn and Genesis BCW are Silver Partners

IFFCO, On Purpose, First Partners, Ideosphere, Kommune, Media Mantra and News Voir are Bronze Partners.

Four organisations are special partners – Global Alliance for Communication Management, The Holmes Report, School of Communications & Reputation (SCoRe) and Boring Brands.

We take pride in not repeating venues and speakers. That being said, we will start visiting the list of speakers from the first edition and start bringing in couple of speakers after a gap of seven years, as long as there are no other speakers from their current organisation. All eyes on Goa for the 27th and 28th September.
